Your files, on your device.
The office tools in this version process selected files and text in your browser. The application does not upload their contents to a file-processing server, save them in a database or retain them in browser storage.
What happens when you choose a file?
Your browser reads it into memory. When processing finishes, a download is created on your device. Clearing the workspace or leaving the page releases the application's references to those files. This is not a guarantee of immediate secure erasure from device memory.
Website requests
Your browser still requests the website's pages, scripts and styles. These requests are separate from the files you choose. Hosting providers may process connection information such as IP addresses and request metadata. No analytics, advertising scripts or external fonts have been added to this local version.
Limits
Use a trusted device and browser. Keep backups of important documents and review processed files. This page describes this implementation; any future cloud processing or third-party integrations would require an updated explanation.
